Nissan Motor Co. has halted construction of a Portuguese plant slated to make lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles.The carmaker planned to produce the batteries in five global locations, including Portugal, but it decided four plants could meet demand for the time being. It is unsure when construction will resume.
