摘要

The effects of copper chloride as a catalyst on the formation of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans (PCDD/Fs) has been investigated. A model waste containing polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as a chlorine source and copper chloride as a catalyst was incinerated in a laboratory-scale fluidized-bed reactor with electric heating. Results of combustion experiments revealed that PCDD/Fs were formed during incineration of the waste containing PVC and no copper chloride, but copper chloride accelerated the formation of PCDD/Fs, especially more highly chlorinated species. It is estimated that copper chloride can contribute to their formation via promoting chlorination of various compounds related to PCDD/Fs.
