Resonance phenomena in the rotary gas meters and their influence on the meters' errors

Appearing in the operating rotary piston gas meters due to pressure pulsations resonance phenomena significantly influence on meter's errors. Installation conditions (characteristics of the adjoined to the meter tubes) considerably influence on the waves reflection and on resonance phenomena. With the insignificant flow rate change meter's errors can change up to 0,8 % depending on installation conditions. The rotary piston gas meters may be used as reference ones only under certain conditions. The using acoustic filters is obligatory.
