摘要

The present study is a first step to establish a system of testing fluorite ore undergoing flotation which allows to predict the efficiency of the proceeding. The procedure involves size distribution analysis and mineral components distribution (by X-ray Diffraction) of six samples from different point of a processing plant. It is found that feed, concentrate and middlings have a nearly similar size distribution, but tailings are dominated by coarser particles. Besides, the selectivity of the process is recalled in question by the important amount of fluorite in tailings (fractions- 22 #mu#m and 590 - 420 #mu#m) and the relative presence of gangue minerals in the concentrate (fraction 590 - 420 #mu#m).
