Cultured autologous keratinocyte grafting of chronic erosions in three patients with epidermolysis bullosa.

Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) comprises a heterogenous group of disorders characterized by mechanical fragility of the skin and by blister formation. Patients with severe forms of EB develop painful chronic wounds, which are resistant to medical treatment. We report our experience using cultured autologous keratinocytes to promote healing of chronic erosions in three patients with EB.
