Clonal rootstocks for sweet cherry.

摘要

Investigations were conducted in Kazakhstan to select rootstocks for sweet cherry aimed at decreasing tree height and increasing yield. An orchard was planted with sweet cherry cultivars General'skaya and Drogana zheltaya, and clonal rootstocks Colt, Apoyana sweet cherry and Magalebka sour cherry (control). Data are tabulated on tree height, growth of stems and crowns, and crop yield. The results of many years of observations confirmed the positive effects of Colt and Apoyana rootstocks on crop yield.
