To subspecies structure of Carabus (Morphocarabus) mestscherjakovi (Coleoptera, Carabidae) [Russian]

The new subspecies, C. mestscherjakovi pseudoodoratus ssp. n., is described. C. mestscherjakovi is redescribed using new morphological characteristics. The new synonymies, C. odoratus shaman Shilenkov 1996 = C. odoratus sambylensis Shilenkov 1996, C. odoratus teletzkianus Shilenkov 1996 = C. odoratus altyntuanus Shilenkov 1996, C. zherichini zherichini Shilenkov 1990 = C. zherichini kuzminae Shilenkov 1990, are found. The new combinations, C. mestscherjakovi shaman Shilenkov 1996, C. mestscherjakovi teletzkianus Shilenkov 1996 and C. mestscherjakovi zherichini Shilenkov 1990 are established according to the features of the internal sac of the aedeagus. The taxonomic position of C. mestscherjakovi within the subgenus Morphocarabus as well as its geographical distribution and genesis of related species are discussed.
