Schemes of wing venation in atmy ants (Dorylinae, Aenictinae, Ecitoninae) and extinct Armaniinae are given. An attempt to analyze phylogenetic relations within this Formicidae group is made. The size, behavior, evolution and some other parameters can affect the pattern of the ant wing venation. The most complete venation, but not so characteristic for ants was noted in Ecitoninae. Some features of wing venation does not permit us to consider wings of this subfamily ancestors for the rest members of this group. Wings in Cerapachyinae species, on the contrary, correspond quite fully to the present scheme of venation. They might be formed on the basis of wing venation in Ponerinae. The schemes of wing venation in Dorylinae and Aenictinae are similar, and their close phylogenetic relations are the most probable. Divergence in the group composed of Ponerinae, Cerapachyinae, and Aenictinae is suggested to take place very early.
