摘要

To support seamless and advanced mobility in IP-based IMT Network Platform (IP{sup}2), we have proposed an new addressing scheme that separates IP-host Address (IPha), which is used to identify a terminal, and IP-routing Address (IPra), which is used to transport packets to destination terminal. In this paper, we make a qualitative evaluation to show the efficiency of our IPha/IPra separation scheme in comparison with Mobile IPv6 and LIN6 (Location Independent Networking for IPv6) which handles two different addresses of a mobile terminal, one is location identifier and the other is terminal identifier. We also proposed four packet transport methods, which can be candidates of our IPha/IPra separation addressing scheme, in consideration of the load of network nodes and the volume of traffic. Finally, we make a qualitative evaluation of our proposed methods to clarify their characteristics.
