The characteristics of Chinese speech for Japanese utters - The case of vowel part of 'an' and 'ang'

It is difficult to clearly pronounce the vowel part of 'an' and 'ang' in Chinese for some Japanese utters. This paper attempts to analyze the speech characteristics of Chinese learners in the case of nasalized vowel 'an' and 'ang'. From the auditory evaluation, four Japanese utters have a tendency which pronunciation of 'an' to be difficult than 'ang', and it is easily to utter to 'ang'. As the results from acoustic analysis, the energy of some frequency band of 'ang' is large than other one, for example, the band of [500-1000Hz] to [1000-15000Hz] even PINYIN is started from the same vowel 'a'.
