Reproduction of a virtual sound source with upper loudspeakers

In order to create a virtual sound source in the space field, it is necessary to use HRTFs to the transaural system. Then, upper-3/2-stereo which makes a virtual sound source in the horizontal plane with the loudspeakers arranged by 3/2-stereo on the ceiling was proposed. In this report, the accuracy of sound reproduction and subjectivity assessment were described. Consequently, it was found out that subject's HRTFs were personally required to make a virtual sound source, and that it was effective to produce virtual sound sources with a reflected wave.
