Notes on distributed shared type music distribution system

Recently, network infrastructure is dramatically improved in Japan by introducing various telecommunication technique such as xDSL, CATV, and FTTH. According to the improvements, many distributing services for digital contents have been realized. The services cause a huge traffic on Internet and on the distribution servers. Moreover copyright infringement by sharing unauthorized music files becomes serious issue. In this report, firstly we study conventional various distributed shared type music distribution system especially for Napster system. And in the last, we propose a new distribution system considered for cost reduction and for copyright issue.
