Wireless base-node repeater network for 4th-generation mobile communication system

摘要

This paper proposes the Wireless base node repeater network being capable of expanding broadband services widely, quickly and inexpensively, which must be the key to the success of 4th-generation mobile communication systems. It is shown that a simple micro/picocell system is a promising approach for enabling incredible high capacity system under tough limitation of coverage and spectrum. In the proposed system, each micro/picocell base node has directional antennas and adaptive packet routing function, by which the system constructs an adaptive repeater network with high spectrum efficiency. Feasibility of the proposed system has been clarified from evaluation of frequency bandwidth required for wireless repeater line.
