Packaged software (PCPVirgo) for high-speed, real-time monitoring and control system

Ebara has made available its customized version of PCPVirgo (Process Control Partner VIRtual Global Objects, of AlterSys Inc., Canada), a next-generation DCS (Distributed Control System) packaged software, for optimal control and monitoring ofenvironment-related systems. PCPVirgo executes on one or more PCs running as a QNX (real-time, multitasking operation) virtual machine. It is a control and management software, which features transparently available event-driven high-speed response,event-driven communications and self-diagnostics, load balancing and fault tolerance, required for process control and high-performance plant automation. Operators and managers have access to any data from any point on a LAN, as if they were operating one computer. The language for programming control scripts is PCPVirgo's powerful yet simple IECll3l-3 ST (Structured Text) and SEC (Sequential Function Chart). A PID function is also included.
