A methodology is proposed for determining the appropriate structure of agricultural machinery stations in Russia. The steps in the procedure involve: (1) determining the crops and varieties to be grown in accordance with the natural and climatic conditions; (2) determining the method(s) of cultivating these crops; (3) determining the machinery and equipment needed to do this; and (4) determining the best ways and times of carrying out the various operations.
