A study on an adaptive network service using active network technologies

摘要

Recently, an adaptive network service is expected as a promising service which can make the content transform adapting to the capability of user terminal and the bandwidth of access network. An active network technology can perform functional addition to network node flexibility, so it is supposed as one of methods to achieve an adaptive network service. However this technology has some problems from the viewpoint of scalability, if it is applied to our assumed ubiquitous network environments. Thus this paper proposes a decision method of active node to overcome the existing problems and evaluates its validity.
