The first successful operations with or without car-diopulmonary bypass for primary cardiac tumors were performed by E.R. Maurer in 1951 and C.L. Crafoord in the 50s of the last century, respectively [3]. In our country such surgical interventions were performed by B.V. Petrovsky [1] and S.A. Kolesnikov et al in 1962. The great numbers of cardiac tumors (mostly benign primary tumors) are considered potentially curable to date due to improved diagnostic methods and cardiac surgery. However cardiac pseudotumors including various cardiac or noncardiac diseases which are wrongly interpreted in medical practice as a neoplasia are little-known part of cardiac surgery. This study is aimed to investigate the clinical-diagnostic, surgical and morphological features of cardiac pseudotumors, the possibility of early diagnosis and the development of optimal medical tactics.
