FERRUGINOUS GASPEITE FROM WEATHERED LISTVENITES OF BEREZOVSKOYE GOLD ORE FIELD

Gaspeite (Ni, Mg, Fe~(+2))CO_3 is the quiterare nickel carbonate discovered for the first time in 1966 inCanada. Later it was revealed in some points of Australia andSouth Africa. In Russia this mineral was unknown untilreported herein finding at the northeast part of Berezovskoyegold ore field (《Uspenskaya gorka》). It occurs there in weaklyweathered listvenites participating in millerite-dolomiteaggregates. Composition of this gaspeite is so unusual thatmakes ground to suspect a new mineral species.
