Improved simulation of thermosetting plastic molding process

Computer simulation models for dynamic analysis of the behavior of thermosetting resins are less accurate than models for thermoplastic resins. One of the key problems is believed to be the lack of accurate initial viscosity data. This paperdescribes use of a genetic algorithm to identify viscosity-related parameters. Elucidation of these parameters has significantly improved the simulation accuracy.
