A film is introduced inside the molding compound and the latter is pressed against the walls of a molding tool by pressure applied inside the film. The compound is then cured to form a stable product. The film is a tube which is introduced coaxially into the compound as it is extruded. Extruder temperature is not 80[deg]C. Alternatively the thermosetting compound is placed in the tool as two or more sheets and a tube or bag shaped film is located between them. Pressure is applied by a gas or fluid. Curing of the compound is effected either by heating the tool wall or by electromagnetic radiation. An additional film may be cover at least part of the outside of the compound.
