摘要

This paper proposes a novel cogging torque reduction method of a magnetic-geared motor with permanent magnets only on the high-speed rotor. The torque characteristics, especially the order of the cogging torque, are theoretically described and verified by conducting 3-D finite element method analyses and carrying out measurements on a prototype. Then, a novel cogging torque reduction method in which a step skew is set to the high- and low-speed rotors is proposed and is also verified by conducting 3-D finite element method analyses and experiments on a prototype.
