PURPOSE: An apparatus for reducing a cogging torque in a motor having a permanent magnet and an armature pole is provided to remove a cogging torque by changing the shape of a yoke of a permanent magnet or the permanent magnet. CONSTITUTION: A motor includes a permanent magnet in which N-pole and S-pole are alternately located and an armature pole which has a same axis and is directed towards the permanent magnet. The motor further comprises a means for locally reducing the magnetization function between the permanent magnet and the armature pole in a region which does not include the border of the N-pole and the S-pole. The means for locally reducing the magnetization function between the permanent magnet and the armature pole comprises a permanent magnet which is attached by using a yoke including an auxiliary member.
