A comparative study of experimental data and the results of the MRE-calculations of the threshold states of OKh18N10T steel tubes with circumferential notches upon independent loading with internal pressure and bend momentum, as well as of the tubes with axial notches upon loading with internal pressure is performed. It is found that the maximum error of the MRE-estimations of residual strength and deformation capacity of damaged tubes is about 25 percent which indicates to the promising character of the method developed. A set for testing of the tubes upon independent loading with internal pressure and bend momentum is described. The promising fields of the MRE application are considered.
