摘要

This study proposes an adaptive control algorithm for the fed-batch production of alpha-amylase. The control algorithm can use on-line information from hardware measuring glucose as an input for software sensors of glucose concentration and glucose consumption rate. The algorithm does not require any kinetic coefficients. This is a benefit, because the kinetic coefficients can vary during cultivation and from one cultivation to the other, which leads to low process reproducibility and the non-stationary nature of the bioprocesses. The results of simulation investigations show good performance of the proposed control scheme.
