Use of aerial- and space-survey images of the earth's surface in mapping soils of Russia: state-of-the-art prospects and objectives.

摘要

The use of aerial and space surveys in interpreting soils for the purpose of soil mapping in all the natural zones of Russia is reviewed. The current problems in the usage of these materials, as well as their resolution and tolerance, are discussed.New advanced methods of remote survey of soils and soil cover are indicated.
