Rumen acidosis (etiology, pathogenesis and classification)

The author overviews literature data and results of his own investigation on etiology of cattle rumen acidosis. The paper provides profound concepts as regards the disease pathogenesis, shows trigger mechanisms and sequence of emergence of pathologic alterations in a rumen and in an organism of an ill animal. The proposed classification takes into consideration etiological, morphological, functional and clinical traits of the disease.
