FUEL GAS CLEANING SYSTEM - ElectroClean Provides Pry, Clean Gas to Any Pry Low NO{sub}x Gas Turbine

A single vessel fuel gas conditioning system consisting of an electric preheater, tube-side of cross exchanger, pressure reduction, shell-side cross exchanger, coalescence, and an electric super heater, Electro-Clean provides dry, clean gas to any dry low NO{sub}x gas turbine, the company said. ElectroClean can be placed between any piping source of fuel gas and the gas turbine. According to the company, the only other equipment needed is the optional filter/coalescer located on the gas turbine for fine removal of entrained oils, rust, mill scale and debris. "Gas turbines are now pretty much dry, low NO{sub}x and they require higher quality of fuel gas," said Craig Tiras, chief engineer at Gaumer. "Some turbine manufacturers claim they can operate off of pipeline gas, but those are the ones that usually end up getting bit. The two big markets we are targeting are offshore and power plants." According to Tiras, traditional fuel cleaning system designs involve five pieces of equipment. ElectroClean is one piece of equipment, greatly reducing the required footprint.
