摘要

Trace gases monitoring plays an essential role in the understanding of the atmospheric environment. Optical spectroscopy based on photo absorption, scattering, emission, and ionization becomes a powerful tool in atmospheric environmental monitoring. Laser based spectroscopy in the wavelength range from vacuum ultraviolet to mid-infrared region provides interesting advantages related to its high selectivity and sensitivity in the detection of trace gases. Cavity ring-down spectroscopy (CRDS), differential optical absorption spectroscopy (DOAS) , laser induced fluorescence (LIF), and laser ionization have allowed to achieve the detection of low concentrations of trace gases in atmosphere. This review reports the resent progress of the atmospheric environment monitoring using optical spectroscopy and finally the future prospects are discussed.
