Effects of rolling reduction and amount ofLa_2O_3 dopant on the development of annealing textures indispersion strengthened molybdenum sheet were investigated bymeans of x-ray diffraction technique. The components of rollingand primary recrystallization textures in the dispersionstrengthened molybdenum sheet were substantially similar to thoseobtained for other refractory b.c.c. metals, i.e. three principalcomponents {100}<011>, {111} and {112}<110>,regardless of whether rolling reduction of 85 to 95% or amount ofLa_2O_3 dopant of 0.01 to 1.0 mass% was incorporated. At ahigh temperature anneal, however, different components weredeveloped as a result of secondary recrystallization (abnormalgrain growth), i.e. one component of near {100}<011> for thesheet rolled to a reduction of 95% and doped with 0.01 mass%La_2O_3, and a strong component of near {112}<110> for thesheets doped with 1.0mass% La_2O_3 and rolled to 85% and 95%.Consequently, the main components of secondary grainsdeveloped from dispersion strengthened molybdenum sheetscorresponded to weak components in the primary recrystallizationtextures and were related by a rotation of approximately 20deg-30deg about <110> axis relative to the strong primary{100}<001> and {111}<110> components.
