Natural gas is usually supplied to thermal powerplants using high-pressure piping. Before being fed to the boilers,it is reduced from high to low pressure. Kawasaki HeavyIndustries, Ltd. has recently delivered a pressure reducing systemcapable of handling a very large pressure difference to TokyoElectric Power Company, Ltd.
