The existing level of development of electric-pulsed disintegration (EPD) of solid non-conducting materials and related equipment is considered. Advantages and deficiencies of EPD are considered; reasons (including relatively high power consumption), that limit wide introduction of this method into industrial practice, are analysed; recommendations regarding application of this method and trends for future research are given.
