A new family of small-size thermoheads and thermoprinters for cash registers

The performance of small-size thermoprinters with printing width 40 and 53 mm developed by the authors and intended for cash registers is considered. Batch production of new thermoprinters was started in 2000. Performance data of thermoprinting heads developed specially for these printers are presented. Operation modes of a stepping motor and a tape edge sensor are also included.
