Considerations of expressions for inalienable possession

The meaning of a noun naturally occurring in a text is ordinarily identified dependent on the context information. In this report, we particularly consider nouns for expressing inalienable entities, whose meanings are strongly dependent on the contexts. Inalienable entities are the entities inseparable from the possesors. For example, the eyes of a particular person are inalienable entities. We consider how such entities are expressed in texts dependent on the contexts. We present the general consideration of inalienable possession and compare the ways for expressing inalienable entities in Japanese and the Ainu Language referring some related researches. We hope that this research will be useful to the fundamental study for the machine translation between the Ainu Language and Japanese.
