Estimation of the variance of a random signal with an unknown main frequency in the presence of interference of unknown intensity

The maximum likelihood method is used to obtain an algorithm for the simultaneous estimation of random signal variance and main frequency in the presence of interference of unknown intensity. The characteristics of estimates are derived. The results of the statistical modeling of algorithms are presented.
