Observations on New Zealand Youth Exchange

My name is Olivia McColl and I was selected for this year's New Zealand Youth Exchange Program. My placement was in Orleans County, New York State, only five minutes away from Lake Ontario. A lot of Orleans County is apple-growing country, and so arethe surrounding counties. I wanted to go to the United States to compare their technology advances with ours; to see any variety differences; and to see how big orchards handle a harvest. The orchard I come from is getting bigger and I reasoned that if anyone has figured out how to do it efficiently, it was the Americans!
