A method of designing database schema based on use cases

In practices of business process, although its detailed flows are not always well-documented, their relevant activities by organaizations and stakeholders, as well as associated state transitions caused by them, can easily be captured in use case analysis. We have made up a method of designing database schema by analyzing state transition diagrams of the system from the viewpoint of actors in use case diagrams. The main feature of our method is that we can find necessary data in the business flow even if they are lacking in the data item list that were collected at first.
