Ensuring the reliability of hydraulic drives as a way of introducing the modem open-cast equipment at Russian enterprises

The article gives a comparative analysis of operation of hydraulic backhoes and power shovels. It is noted that the starting tendency towards the reduction of the pool of hydraulic excavating machines and their unsatisfactory operation in Russian open pits Is the result of the poor servicing and maintenance available. The authors consider the ways to ensure the reliability of hydraulic drives in the open-cast machinery and propose measures for a significant increase in the efficiency of their functioning under the conditions existing in this country.
