Algal-flora of the Acbura river and its indicative saprobiont species

During 1977--1995 we found for the first time 215 species of algal-flora in the Acbura river, 93 of them are indicative saprobiont species. The main algae are Bacillariophyta, there are 119 species (54 are indicative saprobiont algae). The next are Chiorophgta--45 (21), Cyanophyta--41 (12). Other algae divisions are unimportant. It is established that quanity of algal-flora is increasing down-stream of the river (89, 116, 168), respectively indicative saprobiont species do 41, 60, 77. Such distribution of the algal-flora and its indicative saprobiont species depends on ecological factors (flow velocity, water transparence, oxygen content, water temperature and pH).
