摘要

The population of Indonesian civilization will rapidly increase in the next decade. Now a days, It is recoreded that the civilization reaches 237 million people with the growing rate 1.49 % (Statistic Indonesian 2011). Due this thing, food productionis limited; therefore dairy farming has possibility to fill human nutrients. Dairy cattle could be supported by forage/grass and not influence food storage as its feed, then converts it to milk. However land for forage production is limited, because of poor growing conditions and insufficient land base on individual farms (Zemmling 2002). Based on this problem, many dairy farmers cultivate forage in the forest (Agroforestry). However, agroforestry is new challange to compatible with conserving natural conservation and forage production. Nevertheless this information is quite limited. The aim of this reserch is to estimate forage forest production and Its quality for sustainability of dairy farming.
