Analysis of Agricultural Characteristics of Korean Mountain Villagesin Kangwon

Mountain villages are vulnerable to develop agricultural infrastructures and more than 82% of Kangwon is mountain areas. Recently mountain villages have heavily affected by aging and depopulation comparing to open lands. The goal of this study is to find effective solutions for mountain village development. First we analyze agricultural characteristics and potential resources by county (eub-myun-dong) level. Second, we try to build strategic plans for increasing farm household incomes through good cases which achieve more than 100,000 USD.
