Different systems consisting of a reagent and a fibrous adsorbent filled with an anion exchanger were studied in determining Molybdenum (VI) by solid-phase spectroscopy. A system of a fibrous adsorbent filled with an AV-17 anion exchanger and phenylfluorone was selected and studied. The system provides the determination of molybdenum with a detection limit of 0.002 mg/l in the presence of different cations that usually interfere with the determination. A procedure for determining molybdenum (RSD < 15%) was developed and verified in analyses of river, well, and tap water. The analysis takes 15-20 min.
