Four Species of Agromyzidae (Diptera) Intercepted by JapaneseImport Plant Quarantine

Four species of Agromyzidae (Diptera), i.e., Ophiomyia pinguis (Fallen), Melanagromyza hibisci Spencer, Liriomyza betae (Coquillett), and Napomyza cichorii Spencer, were newly recorded in Japanese import plant quarantine. For these four species, literature-based accounts using photographs of whole body, head, thorax, leg, wing, abdomen, and male genitalia of adult flies, larva, puparium, and infested plants, and relevant information are presented to support identification in quarantine and pest control.
