Producers’ prices for welded pipes to inch up in September

Producers have retained domestic prices for 57-108 mm GOST 10704 (05) pipes to be supplied in July at the level of the previous month. The current decline in export quotations for HR coils is one of the factors based on which Russian pipemakers hope strip domestic quotations to fall in August. Persistently unfavourable conditions in foreign markets for flat products (the rainy season lasts in Southeast Asia, Ramadan - in the Middle East, and vacations’ in Europe) will be pushing FOB quotations further down until mid- Q3.
