Seamless pipe prices to resume growth in September

In July, mills’ prices for 57-159 mm GOST 8732(31) HR seamless pipes were moving in various directions: Interpipe has lifted prices by 3%, Dnepropetrovsk Tube Works have not changed them. Price movements in the global markets for semi-finished products will determine changes in the manufacturing cost of seamless pipes in Ukraine for the next three months. Taking into account a $15-20/t downturn in July FOB-quotations for square billet (to $660-665/t FOB Black Sea), August prices will most probably be quoted at $655-660/t to Ukrainian producers of seamless HR pipes.
