The "Petkim" petrochemical company of Turkey in which SOCAR's joint venture with "Turcas" of Turkey has a 51% stake, plans to increase its exports of petrochemicals to $500 mn this year according to the Executive Director of the "SOCAR-Turcas" JV, Kenan Yavitz. This compares with exports of S350 mn in 2009 and $500 mn in 2008, and the effects of the economic crisis will therefore be eliminated in one year according to Yavuz.
