摘要

In a prevailing climate of public concerns and fears about multi-ethnic communities, this paper is timely. It captures the extant literature on this issue and produces evidence to suggest that all is not well with regard to pre-registration education on multi-ethnic care. This paper raises concerns about impoverished understanding on matters concerning multiethnic health care. It reveals that academics and practice mentors acknowledge their impoverished understanding due to lack of educational preparation. Encouragingly, the paper highlights that educators and practice mentors are seeking educational opportunities to address deficits in knowledge related to culturally sensitive care.
