Technology Transfer in the Food and Agriculture Industries

The contribution that science and technology can make to national prosperity was highlighted in the Government's White Paper on science, published in May, 1993. Science can only benefit the nation however if the information produced is used and successful exchange of information, skills and ideas between scientists and the user community takes place. The Technology Foresight Programme, which flowed from the White Paper, is an attempt by Government to ensure that successful technology transfer takes place.
