摘要

Taphole mix is a mixture of raw materials and plastic binder that is injected into a taphole and hardened by volatilization of the binder to form the taphole mix texture. We have previously evaluated strength, apparent porosity and corrosion resistance of taphole mix but we have not evaluated the taphole mix texture. The evaluation of the taphole mix properties in sudden heating conditions is especially important. In this paper, we report the results of the examination of the texture of taphole mix subjected to a simulation test that approximates conditions in actual use.
