摘要

Knowledge of thermoelectric parameters of an individual working thermoelement or a thermopile isnecessary for a correct calculation of thermoelectric devices. Known classical methods used todetermine thermoelectric parameters of a thermopile are based on the use of static parameters ofthermoelectric material. To use these methods for the calculation of the above parameters ofthermoelement in a working state, it is necessary to know the values of material parameters in thesestates, i.e. direct measurement of parameters of a real working thermoelement is needed, whichinvolves severe difficulties. The present paper proposes a new method for the calculation of all outputthermoelectric parameters of a thermopile. The new method is based on measuring thermopower of aworking thermopile. This method was used to obtain formulae for the calculation of output parametersof a real thermopile working in different modes. As an example, calculation was performed of dynamicparameters of an individual thermoelement used in a thermoelectric helmet designed for coolingpatients' brains. The calculation was made for the case of no-load thermoelement operation.
