摘要

Nanosilica (SiO2) is used as a reinforcing filler in PP/elas-tomer thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) blends containing ethylene-octene polyolefin elastomer (POE),ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR),and maleated EPR.The localization and dispersion of the filler are controlled by adding maleated derivatives to the matrix or the dispersed phase.A separated morphology,consisting of SiO2 residing in the PP matrix,is necessary to achieve improvements in modulus.Filled TPOs containing POE have the best performance and exhibit improved moduli while retaining high values of elongation.
